‘Vaanam’ had a very good length of expectation much prior to the release. With ‘KO’ making a grand opening last week, there were whole lot of confusion in town whether ‘Vaanam’ will release or not today. But with an effortful gesture, the producers have managed to release the film.
It has been a year we had Simbhu’s film released after the grand success of ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’. To start off with, its newcomer Krish, a versatile filmmaker from Telugu film industry, who has made a remarkable start in Kollywood now.
‘Vaanam’ keeps you adhered to the core as you’ll feel the different emotions through the characters. A film proves to be successful if it touches your heart.
Final Word! ‘Vaanam’ is a glorious masterpiece, something newly experienced in Tamil film industry.

Hats off to Silambarasan for a mind-boggling performance… Never expected such an appealing effort from the actor. Though the actor had potentials, he never got such a script to perform at his best.Watch out for his performance during last 25minutes as he keeps our eyes without a blink. Finally, it’s tears rolling down our eyes. Bharath on pars tries to utilize this opportunity and of course, it’s a good comeback. Anushka doesn’t have much to perform, but her act during climax is splendidly superb. Prakash Raj overreacts at many portions. But then, the climax part is again the best for him as well. But, it’s Saranya stealing the show with her emotions. The actress leaves us transfixed with her astounding act and so is the actor in the role of father-in-law.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s ‘Vaanam’ song is the biggest highlight of the movie. As the makers affirmed that it’s the soul of complete movie, it proves to be. ‘Evandi Unna Pethan’ is completely unwanted for the film, though it’s stylishly shot.
Welcome Krish!!! We await a whole lot of movies from your side. Continue to make such movies.
Verdict: Stunning and best
Simbu has joined the likes of Suriya and Arya. Wonder how? Well, the actor had called up director Mysskin to congratulate him for making a film like Yudham Sei. During the conversation, Mysskin narrated the one-liner of Mugamudi to the actor and impressed by the story, Simbu is reported to have agreed to star in the film. It is said that there is a possibility that Simbu and Mysskin might come together for this project.
Interestingly, it was announced earlier that Suriya will play the lead role in the film and then the offer went to Arya. Both the actors have moved out of Mugamudi and now to offer has fallen into Simbu’s court. Let’s see it materializes this time around.
