Avanapathi from Avan Ivan tops the Chart this week( May 21 2011)

‘Avanapathi’ from ‘Avan Ivan’ takes on No.1 position followed by ‘Vizhigalil Oru Vaanavil’ from ‘Deiva Thirumagal’. Rest of the songs are at the same position they were holding last week. With ‘Mankatha’ single track album hitting audio stores, there may be some changes over the chart next week…
1. Avanapathi (Avan Ivan): At this point of time, when everything in music is turning towards techno and hip-hops with less prominence, this song has some meaningful lyrics and carries sound message like Pichaithan Eduthaalum Perarasanaanalum Puzhuvukku Irai Aavan Verae Enna.   The song has thundering percussions and probably we can expect a stunning choreography for this song.
2. Vizhigalil Oru Vaanavil (Deiva Thirumagal): Glimpse through the albums churned out by G.V. Prakash in the past years, every album has a beautiful mellisonant number. Especially, with G.V. Prakash and Saindhavi sharing a wonderful rapport over their work, it’s obvious when a song comes out from this duo; it’s gonna be a delighting treat for the music lovers.
3. Vaanam (Vaanam): Yuvan Shankar Raja makes it clear that, if a song has to achieve higher status, it needn’t have big sounds, grandiloquent orchestration, but can be done with few instrumentals and a solo voice. If you need an illustration, ‘Vaanam’ can be the best exemplification.
4. Ennamo Yedho (KO): Jeeva has to ardently thank Harris Jayaraj as he didn’t have any such big hits like this song previously in his career. The song has a splendid composition with the visuals by Richard M Nathan being yet another highlighting factor.
5. Rasathi (Avan Ivan): Listen to the electrifying orchestration of instrumentals during the interludes. They’re just outstanding and Yuvan Shankar Raja having taken 2 months for the song does justice to Bala’s call. Haricharan is the showstopper here.

6. Kuthikkira (Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai):
Wow! What a terrific job by maestro Ilayaraja. The music wizard always makes sure that a good concept must be expressed well with a good music and he has done what is needed for the song.  His astounding modulation at this point of age is magnificent and something not attempted by maestro himself before.
7. Oru Malaiyoram (Avan Ivan): The song gives a pleasant experience for the music lovers. Bala’s ‘Pithamaghan’ had a similar song titled ‘Elangaatru’ and now he has done a similar song with Yuvan Shankar Raja. This song is sure to become a major attraction for the ones, who are in love as they would dedicate this number for them.
8. Unnai Kandaen (Kandaen): With the visuals have an excellent picturing and choreography, the song has captured the interests of audiences, especially the youth cohorts. Shanthanu Bhagyaraj does an impressive work in choreography.
9. Nenjil Nenjil (Engeyum Kadhal): Harish Raghavendra and Harris Jayaraj – Any guesses what these personalities have strike in commonality. They never miss to give a beautiful melody for the listeners. This song has been the favorite song for everyone. Chinmayee on her part comes up with an impressive effort.
10. Vennira Iravugal (Pesu): The song has been shifting constantly over its position for several weeks, but doesn’t get out it. The reason is the high and low tides it has been experiencing. If the song gets a good promotion, it has more chances of hitting straight to the top of charts.
