Vilayaadu Mankatha from Mankatha Retains its 1st Position….(Jun 4 2011)

Yuvan Shankar Raja becomes the maximum holder even this week. ‘Vilayaadu Mankatha’ stays on Top 1 followed by the same songs in the respective positions as it was last week.
1. Vilayaadu Mankatha (Mankatha): The song is ringing everywhere in towns now and it’s the celebration of Thala fans everywhere. The track is quite a long one and with so many singers involved in the rendition, we are sure the song will remain on top of charts and the club mix of this number will sure haunt the listeners.
2. Vizhigalil Oru Vaanavil (Deiva Thirumagal): This may look a bit too earlier, but we saw the visuals of the song and it was really tremendous. The song is pictured on Vikram and Anushka Shetty with a beautiful cinematography by Nirav Shah. Saindhavi has rendered the song with a beautiful touch.
3. Oru Malai (Avan Ivan): Baby Priyanka is sure to win more offers in tinsel town now. She impresses the listeners with her beautiful rendition. Her child like vocalism carries away our senses. Vijay Yesudas stands out as a best accompaniment and Yuvan Shankar Raja has done a good selection on singers.
4. Vaanam (Vaanam): This is one of the best songs of this decade and indeed a masterpiece by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This one particular song keeps us yearned to listen to it over and over again. Lyrics by Na. Muthukumar is one of the major highlighting feature of this number.
5. Yennamo Yedho (Ko): Senses like over-tiredness for the audiences as they have been heeding to it for past 6months. But to be precise, it’s a wonderful song and is one particular factor that actively promoted the film much prior to its release.
6. Who Am I (Vaanam): The song didn’t grab everyone’s attention before the film’s release and the results are contrastive after post-release phase… It is because the lyrics signify the unique characteristic feature of a youngster, who is brimmed with unusual thoughts. Bharath has performed very well emoting aptly for the lyrics.
7. Rasathi (Avan Ivan): Haricharan is usually good with romantic songs and Yuvan Shankar Raja has always given best scope for him. We will have to wait and watch out for the visuals. The musical instrumentals during interlude are extraordinary.
8. Unnai Kandene (Kandain): Vijay Ebenezer has done a neat job. Though, the song carries the traces of Harris Jayaraj, The song has been picturised with good visuals and Shanthanu has danced very well.
9. Nenjil Nenjil (Engeyum Kadhal): Harris Jayaraj is far-famed for his luminous melodies. In fact, most of his chartbusters are more off romantic melodies and this number is a good illustration. Harish Raghavendra and Chinmayee have rendered it perfectly.
10. Vennira Iravugal (Pesu): Simple lyrics, mild instrumentals and Yuvan Shankar Raja – These attributes define the song as a fabulous piece of work. It remains out of spotlights due to low – profiled promotion and we will have to wait for the visuals.
