Karthi’s next film in the pipeline has been announced to be ‘Saguni’. Shankar Dayal will be directing this film. Though, this film was officially announced, the team was unable to find a suitable pair for Karthi.The buzz that was doing the rounds in Kollywood was that, Shriya Saran is being considered for the role opposite Karthi. When enquired, we came to know that this is not true. In fact, director Shankar Dayal and Karthi are looking to cast a fresh face but their search is yet to yield results.
Meanwhile, sources close to Shriya have said that she is currently busy with Jiiva starrer ‘Rowthiram’ and has not been approached for ‘Saguni’.
