This movie directed by popular ad film maker Jayendra, is a joint production of Satyam Cinemas and Aghal films. Priya Anand and Nithya Menen play the female leads. Music has been scored by popular Malayalam film musician Sharreth and the songs he performed at the audio launch were appreciated. Here is a closer look at the album. Rules Kidayathu…  Vocals: Tippu Lyricis: Karky The unique, effervescent ensemble of drums compliment the high pitched ever energetic Tippu beautifully. The abrupt pauses and soft sounding music in between add on to the beauty. Definitely one to watch out for! AJ… Vocals: Vidhu Prathap & Ramya S.Kapadia Lyricis: Karky A mix of melody and pep, this one surprises us. Lovely key board tunes, peppered with soft voices and peppy music, make a perfect cocktail - an absolute treat for listeners who love experimental music. Santhikaatha Kangalil Inbangal… Vocals: Chithra, S.Sowmya & Unni MenonLyricis: KarkyA strong classical flavor underlines the entire song. Dominated by mridangam, chenda and carnatic notes, the attractions are the lovely voices of Chithra, Sowmya and Unni Menon - a foot tapping melody that we usually enjoy in live kutcheris. Nyayam Thana… Vocals: Sharreth Lyricis: Viveka Drums once again, but the usage here is much different from ‘Rules Kidayathu’. Sharreth’s voice is unique and catchy. Though the song might not impress you immediately, give it a couple of hearings for the commendable composition. Rathe Rathe… Vocals: Ramya S Kapadia & Ravishankar Lyricis: Viveka A short number with classical base. Nothing much to write about. Nee Korinal… Vocals: Karthik & Swetha Mohan Lyricis: Karky Everything about this - the music, the lyrics and the arrangement spice up the feeling of ‘love’. An absolute delight, this is sure to top the charts and add on to Karthik’s list of hits! Lyrics by Karky are refreshing. It goes like this- ‘Nee Korinaal Vaanam Maaradha, Dhinam Theeramale Megam Thooraatha’. Divine love? Siru Siru… Vocals: Vidya Shankar, Master Aswath, P.Ajith, Master Sharath Lyricis: Karky The music arrangement is again different. Very situational, with right visuals, the song has good chances of making it big. Overall, Sharreth and Jayendra have gone full throttle in experimenting with music in 180’s album. Such initiatives should be welcomed with both hands. Verdict: Novel and worth listening to.  |
