Ilayathalapathy was booked by Mani Ratnam for ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ but this project has been dropped for now. The director had therefore instructed Vijay to use the dates allotted of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ for some other project.
The star immediately discussed the issue with director Ameer and offered him the call sheet. The director is happy that this project, which has long been in the shelf, is going to take off. Despite, being busy with ‘Aadhi Bahgwan’, the director has decided to begin the groundworks for ‘Kannabiran’. Sources close to Ameer say that the director wants to utilize the opportunity that has come his way and will complete ‘Aadhi Bhagwan’ sooner than intended.
